Wolfman releases a limited-edition BDR Series Luggage Set inspired by the NVBDR. Only 40 of these sets will be available. 40% of sales will go directly to the BDR to help preserve riding opportunties, and create new routes for the adv community.

BDR is the recipient of the 2017 AMA Hazel Kolb Brighter Image Award. The AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) recognized BDR for making outstanding contributions to the motorcycling community, and for creating good publicity for motorcyclists.

BDR Partners with Honda and TravelNevada to Release the NVBDR Project

BDR announces its seventh route, the Nevada Backcountry Discovery Route (NVBDR), produced in partnership with the American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and TravelNevada, Nevada Division of Tourism. The NVBDR release includes free GPS tracks and route travel information on the BDR website, a waterproof map from Butler Motorcycle Maps, and expedition documentary DVD produced by ColorBlind, and BDR Documentary Films.

NVBDR: TEMPORARY Re-Route of NVBDR Sec 1 for Mint 400

A temporary re-route in Section 1 of the NVBDR has been scheduled for March 2-4th. The Mint 400 Off-Road Race will be using a section of road in which the NVBDR travels on as well. This section is just north of Nipton and ends in Primm and is part of our track NVSec1 Oatman to Pahrump. Re-route available.

COBDR: Cottonwood Pass to Close Summer 2017

A portion of Section 3 of the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route will be closed for the entire 2017 summer riding season. Cottonwood Pass which travels over the Continental Divide from Taylor Park on the west to Buena Vista on the east, will be closed this summer (2017). The pass is dirt on the west side and paved on the east. Detour available.

WABDR: Section 4 - Road 233 Tough Conditions

We received a report that Road 233 ("the Jungle") in Section 4 of WABDR is in bad condition. Looks like a lot of blowdown and vegetation, as well as recent fire damage. The bypass is easy on Forest Road 8410 (the main route down the mountain to Lake Chelan).

IDBDR: Magruder Corridor is Open

Update: The Magruder Corridor from Elk City, ID to Darby, MT is now reopened. The Magruder Corridor (Section 4 on the IDBDR Butler Map) is currently closed due to road repairs.
