Shipping & Fulfillment Part-Time Position

BDR is looking for a Shipping & Fulfillment associate to be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, assisting with inventory management, special events, office admin and other duties, as needed.  Position reports to the Executive Director. Work is performed in-person on site at the Seattle office.  Flexible schedule, 12-20 hours/week to start with; potential for increased hours in the future to support the organization’s growth. This is a part-time W-2 position.  Hourly rate between $20-23/hour DOE.  Paid holidays and time-off.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Online store orders and supporter program packages processing, packing and shipping;
  • Drop off at a local USPS, UPS stores as needed in your own vehicle;
  • Assist Operations Manager in maintaining accurate inventory, including purchasing and receiving;
  • Help prepare and pack items for rallies and events;
  • Assist at the RideBDR booth at motorcycle rallies and events as needed;
  • Occasional lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds;

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Shipping Procedures: Understanding the logistics of shipping, including packing and labeling;
  • Must have own reliable and insured vehicle;
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring that orders are accurate is crucial;
  • Time Management Skills: Being able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently;
  • Organizational Skills: Keeping track of multiple orders, inventory, and shipping details;
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and the ability to use order management software;
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to troubleshoot issues with orders, such as stock discrepancies or shipping problems;
  • Physical Stamina: work on your feet for 4hrs/day;
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: not only with job requirements, but also schedule;
  • Bonus points if you have experience in e-commerce and order fulfillment with Shopify and Shippo;
  • Administrative and customer service experience a plus;
