Intermittent Road Closures Possible – Section 2:
Possible temporary road closures are in effect on Rochford Road for tree clearing.
- After the Rocky Downhill area in Section 2, the closure may be in effect at the intersection of Whitetail Rd (FR190) and Rochford Road.
- There is no easy bypass to this area, but construction crews may allow passage for the one-mile stretch on Rochford Road to the turnoff for Castle Peak Road, heading toward Castle Peak Campground.
- Access on Rochford Road to the town of Rochford itself via the track BH BDRX2 ALT – Rochford may be restricted.
- Adhere to all signage and respect the local work crews.

Easy access to Bear Mountain Lookout Tower – Section 3
If you decide to remain on the main track and not take the ALT Harder track up Bear Mountain, you can still backtrack to the lookout tower for the incredible views.
- At the intersection of Ditch Creek Road and the Alt Harder track, you can backtrack on the ALT Harder track via a gravel road to the lookout tower.
- The more difficult portion of the ALT Harder track is north of the lookout tower.
