CANADIAN DISCOVERY ROUTESTM
Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) is officially expanding into Canada with the launch of Canadian Discovery Routes™ (CDR™). Over the past few years, we’ve been working closely with local experts across multiple provinces to develop signature adventure routes that showcase Canada’s diverse backcountry.
These routes, available as both BDRs and BDR-Xs, will eventually span coast to coast, including the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, giving riders access to some of Canada’s most scenic and remote landscapes.
The first Canadian Discovery Route, the Vancouver Island, BC BDR-X, is set to launch in January 2027. We’re also making steady progress on the British Columbia BDR (BCBDR), which will be the first full-length Canadian Discovery Route. Stay tuned as we continue to build, scout, and bring new adventure routes to the Canadian backcountry.
