Temporary Closures for STPR Rally – July 10-13
The STPR rally race is taking place July 11 and 12 on portions of Section 9 of the MABDR and Section 1 of the PA Wilds BDR-X.
Several areas on these routes will be closed for this event with additional traffic and spectators and we are urging riders to avoid this section during the weekend.
The closures will take place on 7/11 and 7/12, but we expect some closures in place the day before and after the event.
We recommend all riders avoid this area during the weekend and take an alternate around the area to avoid major backtracking due to closures and to keep a safe environment around the race.

New Tracks Available for Download
A new version of the PA Wilds BDR-X tracks is available labeled BDRX-PA-Wilds-March2025
This update includes several refinements and a few important updates, most notably:
SECTION 3:
- An adjustment has been made at the end of Section 3 to bypass the busy town of State College and extend some additional dirt. This section now ends in Milroy, however riders can still detour into State College for lodging or supplies if needed.
SECTION 4:
- The previous track for ALT Harder – Paddy Mtn has been removed from the GPS file due to deteriorating conditions. The remoteness and technical nature of this 4×4 trail risks injuries to riders and damage to bikes, and has caused a major strain on local EMS personnel, Forestry Department workers, and recovery services. As such we can no longer recommend this road to riders and ask that you remain clear of this drivable trail.

Section 4: Difficult Conditions on Paddy Mtn
We have received reports of significant impacts from the recent storms to parts of the route, most notably the track for PAW-BDRX4 ALT Harder – Paddy Mtn.

- This optional harder section is said to be in bad shape and significantly more difficult than normal following recent storms.
We recommend riders not up for the additional challenge remain on the main route. - See attached screenshot for reference.

- UPDATE: This track has been removed from the GPS track file and is no longer recommended for travel.
