Project Overview
Record tree fall this winter left roughly 6 miles of the Elk Summit segment blocked by downed timber, keeping riders detoured well into the season. This work day clears the deadfall, resets tread where storms washed it out, and gets the segment back to full width.
General labor — dragging brush, loading debris, clearing tread — is open to every skill level. Certified sawyers handle the chainsaw work in coordination with the Forest Service crew.
