BARBER VINTAGE MOTORSPORTS MUSEUM

Join Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) at the legendary Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum for a special weekend of riding, connection, and celebration. This event brings the BDR community together to share stories, enjoy great food, explore the world’s largest motorcycle collection, and ride some incredible backcountry routes.

What’s Included (Saturday Activities):

  • Lunch inside the Barber Museum on Saturday, November 1st at 12:00 noon
  • Museum entry – explore the world’s largest motorcycle collection
  • ADV clinic with Jocelin Snow – following lunch join BDR Board Member and ADV celebrity trainer Jocelin Snow for a 40-minute adv demonstration
  • Self-guided rides – BDR will provide GPS tracks for the area so you can ride Friday, Saturday and Sunday at your own pace.
  • BDR Team presentation – hear what’s ahead for BDR and the adventure riding community
  • Door prizes and surprises 

Tickets are $150 per person. 

Lodging: Accommodations are not included in the ticket price. See below for suggested hotels in the area, and RV/trailer parking options.

Friday Activities

We’ve added a few more opportunities to make the BDR @ Barber weekend even better. Arrive early on Friday and join a local ADV group for day ride on Friday departing from the museum grounds at 10:30 am (please arrive by 10:00 for the rider meeting), followed by a community dinner at Dread River Distillery in Birmingham that evening. Detailed information on these activities will be provided to attendees after registration.

Looking for a bike for the weekend? Our friends at the Little River Adventure Company have Yamaha XT250 dual-sport rentals available for this event—make your reservation here.

This is a unique opportunity to experience Barber, ride with fellow ADV enthusiasts, and be part of the BDR community as we look ahead to the future.

TRAILER AND RV PARKING

The Museum is also offering Lot G for overnight parking of trucks, trailers, or RVs for those who wish to stay on the premises.

WEEKEND RIDES

We’ll be providing GPS tracks for self-guided rides in the area. These tracks will be emailed to all participants ahead of the weekend, so you can bring your friends, plan your own rides, and connect with fellow ADV riders both on the trail and at the luncheon.
