Uncle’s Around the Bend Rally

Uncle’s Around the Bend Rally

February 25 – 28, 2027

Our friends at TX ADV are hosting the 20th Annual Uncle’s Around the Bend Rally, a four-day motorcycle rally based in Terlingua, Texas, from February 25 to 28, 2027. With rally headquarters at Venga Cafe, riders are right in the heart of Big Bend country, with easy access to the River Road (Hwy 170) along the Rio Grande, Pinto Canyon Road, and miles of remote desert dirt. Street, adventure, and dual-sport riders are all welcome, and you’re free to ride as much or as little as you like.

Riders can choose from several GPS-tracked routes. The Trail Boss 250 Desert Challenge is a demanding 250-mile loop through Terlingua Ranch and Big Bend National Park that must be finished in under 12 hours to earn Trail Boss Certification (subject to park road conditions). The Big Bore ADV Challenge is a more scenic 250-mile mix of dirt and pavement that includes Pinto Canyon Road. The International ADV Ride is an all-paved day that crosses into Mexico to visit Peguis Canyon, so bring your passport. For skilled dual-sport riders, the Bad Rabbit 100 is an extended and difficult take on the Top of the World ride.

Evenings are spent swapping stories on The Porch in the Terlingua Ghost Town, and Saturday wraps up with a group fajita dinner, door prizes, and an awards ceremony. Registration includes GPS tracks, a t-shirt, stickers, swag, and the Saturday dinner. Early registration runs through January 25, 2027.

This is a great way to experience the Big Bend region alongside a crowd of like-minded riders. Terlingua sits right on the Big Bend BDR-X, so consider arriving early or staying a few extra days to ride more of the route.
