Figures from the 2023 BDR Economic Impact Study, conducted with the University of Wyoming Center for Business and Economic Analysis.
Riders plan BDR trips in the off-season, and most would rather pick up a map locally than wait on or pay for shipping. A BDR display brings them in during your slow months.
A rider planning 800 miles of backcountry needs tires, luggage, and protection before they go. They’ll buy it from the shop that helped them plan the trip.
Most markets still don’t have a BDR dealer. The first shop to claim it becomes the local home base for the ADV community.
Everything below is 35% off retail, on a single ordering page with the discount already applied.
Waterproof and tear-resistant, one for each full BDR route. $21.95 retail, and your core seller.
Riders pick these up after finishing a route. Low cost, good margin, and they display well by the register.
Shorter loop routes riders finish over a long weekend. Maps $16.95, decals sold separately.
Beanies, trucker hats and neck gaiters. Year-round stock with no seasonal risk.
Logo and shield patches. The classic add-on for jackets and luggage.
The route grid sticker sheet and the US map decal, each sold on its own.
The 20-piece minimum applies across your whole order, not per item. A few maps for the routes nearest you plus decals and patches for the counter gets you there.
Maps, decals, patches, and headwear at 35% below retail, applied automatically on your wholesale ordering page. That’s $7.68 on every $21.95 map, with no codes and no waiting on a quote.
Your shop is listed in Authorized Retail Locations, the page riders check when they want a printed map nearby. View Page
Rigid BDR signs for slat-wall or pegboard, plus a fabric “BDR Resource Center” banner. A $50 value, free on your first order over $500.
Maps sell for $21.95 and BDR-X maps for $16.95 everywhere. No reseller undercuts another, and you’re never competing against a cheaper price online.
Orders placed Monday through Friday typically ship the next business day. No backorder conversation with a rider who leaves in two weeks.
BDR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your wholesale orders pay for scouting new routes and keeping backcountry roads open to motorcycles, and riders notice which shops support that.
Display shown for illustration. Merchandising hardware not included.
You know adventure riders are worth reaching. The BDR display kit shows you how on the floor: rigid signage for your slat-wall or pegboard and a “BDR Resource Center” banner that tells every rider who walks past exactly where to go.
Free on any order over $500. (The $50 kit doesn’t count toward the threshold.)
You bring the wall space. We bring everything that turns it into a BDR display.

Who qualifies for a wholesale account?
Motorcycle and powersports dealerships, ADV and gear shops, independent service centers, outfitters, and other retail businesses that reach riders, with a valid reseller permit. We’ve got everything from motorcycle dealerships to a vintage motorcycle museum to a convenience store on a route selling BDR maps. If your customers ride, or ride past, it probably works. Not sure? Ask.
Can I sell BDR products online?
No. Wholesale products are for sale at your physical location and in person at motorcycle events and shows. Selling through your own website, Amazon, eBay or any other marketplace isn’t permitted, and BDR products can’t be resold or distributed to other retailers. This is what keeps pricing consistent and protects the margin for every shop in the network.
What’s the minimum order?
Twenty pieces per order, and it applies across the whole order rather than per item, so a mix of maps, decals and patches counts.
How do I pay?
Pay by credit card at checkout through our online store. Ordering works like any other online order, just from your dedicated wholesale page with the discount already applied. No invoicing, no net terms, no purchase orders.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping and any applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on order size and destination. Orders placed Monday through Friday typically ship within 24 hours.
Is there a required retail price?
Yes. BDR route maps sell for $21.95 and BDR-X maps for $16.95. Pricing is consistent across every reseller and on our own store, which protects your margin. No one can undercut you, and you’re never competing against a lower price online.
Do you offer territory exclusivity?
No. Any qualifying business can apply, including one nearby. In practice, most markets have no BDR reseller at all, so overlap is rare.
Can I return unsold inventory?
Unsold inventory can’t be returned, so order what you can sell. Damaged or defective items can be reported within 15 days of delivery, and we’ll replace or refund them.
Can businesses outside the US participate?
Not currently. The program is US-only for now because of resale certificates and shipping requirements. If you’re outside the US and interested, get in touch anyway; it helps us know where the demand is.
How long does approval take?
Once we have your signed agreement and reseller permit, accounts are typically active within 1–2 business days.
Does a wholesale account include a listing on the BDR website?
Your business is listed in the Authorized Retail Locations section of the BDR store, so riders can find somewhere nearby to buy a printed map. That’s separate from the Motorcycle Dealers directory on ridebdr.com, which is a different program.
