DAM 200 Adventure Moto Ride + SEBDR Film Screening
Damascus, Virginia – June 5-7 2026
Registration is now open for the second annual Damascus Adventure Moto DAM 200, an epic dual sport ride exploring 200 kilometers of scenic backroads and mountain views around Southwest Virginia. This moderate, ride-at-your-own-pace route includes a mix of paved and gravel roads, is big-bike friendly, and ideal for both beginners and seasoned ADV riders. Limited to 150 participants.
Cost: $200 per person
All proceeds support long-term hurricane recovery efforts in the Town of Damascus.

Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia, Damascus is affectionately known as “Trail Town USA” due to its convergence of multiple scenic trails, including the Appalachian Trail, Virginia Creeper Trail, and Iron Mountain Trail. For adventure motorcyclists, Damascus holds special significance as the starting point of the Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route (MABDR) and the terminus of the Southeast Backcountry Discovery Route (SEBDR), making it a pivotal hub for riders exploring the eastern United States.
In September 2024, Damascus faced significant challenges when Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage to its infrastructure and trail systems. In response, Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) donated $25,000 to the Damascus Strong Fund to aid in recovery efforts, including repairing roads, bridges, and restoring trail systems . This partnership has strengthened the bond between BDR and the town, leading to collaborative initiatives like the DAM 200 event.
The DAM 200 is more than an event; it’s a testament to the resilience of Damascus and its significance in the adventure riding community. By participating, riders contribute to the town’s recovery and help solidify its status as a premier destination for adventure motorcycling.
