Update From The Routes Development Team

October 10, 2022

BDR volunteers on the Routes Development team are working hard to bring you more exciting riding opportunities in the next few years.  The 12th BDR route, the ORBDR, is scheduled for release beginning of 2023.

In addition to Oregon, scouting work continues for the California BDR-North (CABDR-North), The Southeast BDR (SEBDR), and multiple BDR-X’s, some of which will explore the often underrepresented “middle of the country”.

We want to welcome our long-time collaborator Michael Bielecki, who recently joined the BDR team as Routes Manager.  Michael spent the last decade in marketing and management roles within the adventure motorcycle rental and touring industry, as a professional guide for countless BDR tours, and as BDR Assistant Film Director, providing cinematography for the MABDR, CABDR-South, NEBDR, WYBDR and the upcoming ORBDR films.

While working closely with the route’s development team, as Routes Manager Mike’s goal is to ensure that everyone has a safe and unforgettable experience while riding BDR!

A heart-felt shout out to 5-star BDR Ambassador Nathan Fant, a vital member of the BDR Routes Development Committee and staff.  Nathan previously served as Routes Manager, and is the co-architect of the upcoming ORBDR.  Nathan is currently working with Ron West on the CABDR-North development, and occasionally lending his talents as videographer and photographer for various BDR projects.

Bryce Stevens is the BDR-Co-Founder and the architect of many BDR routes.  Bryce currently serves as Routes Development Director, masterminding future BDR routes with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers and BDR  Ambassadors around the country.

BDR Board Director Ron West is the co-architect of the CABDR-South route, as well as a liaison for the BDR Ambassadors Program.  For the last three years with the help of local Ambassador Trevor Morton, Ron has been scouting and planning the upcoming CABDR-North route slated for release in 2024.

BDR could not carry out its mission of creating and preserving riding opportunities for the ADV community without the help and support of our dedicated volunteers, hard-working Ambassadors, industry sponsors, and you – BDR riders!
